Jody-Ann Robinson
Jody-Ann Robinson is a scholar, educator, and storyteller who believes in the power of words to inspire and transform. As a second-generation Jamaican Canadian, her roots and lived experiences shape the heart of her writing, blending cultural richness with the universal wonder of childhood.
With a master’s degree in educational leadership from Niagara University and a doctoral journey focused on equity and inclusive education, Jody-Ann is deeply committed to shaping learning spaces where all children feel seen, valued, and empowered. Her books, Hippo Happiness and The First Day of Second Grade, reflect her love for storytelling and her mission to create joyful, affirming narratives for young readers.
When she’s not writing or teaching, you can find Jody-Ann curating life’s little joys—whether that’s in a well-brewed London Fog, a long reflective walk, or meaningful conversations about life, learning, and the stories that shape us.
